Rembert Dennis | History of SC Slide Collection

Born in Pinopolis, educated at Furman, Georgetown University in Washington D.C., and the University of South Carolina, Rembert Dennis (1915- ) began his legislative career in the South Carolina House in 1939, and was elected to the state Senate in 1943. A long-time power in state Democratic politics, he was a supporter of conservation issues.
