The Upcountry History Museum - Furman University connects people, history and culture in a variety of different ways. You can learn about local history, or check out some of the museum's traveling exhibits. The museum covers 300 years of the region's history starting with the Native Americans in the area, the Revolutionary War, the early growth of Greenville, the region's impact on the state's economy, and even the Civil Rights Movement. A lot of what happened in the Upcountry, influenced  national history, too.
