The Dike – Vast fields of Cord Grass populate this area. The fresh water impoundments, with much lower levels of salinity, are perfect places for shore and sea birds such as Yellowleg birds, Black-Necked Stilts, Blue-Winged Teal ducks, Cormorants, and Blue Herons.
