Hurricane Hugo damage revisited – Here we see further evidence of damage caused by Hurricane Hugo. The tall canopy trees like pines, oaks, and palmettos have been stripped bare. Nature is slowly healing itself, and this is seen with the greenery returning to some of these trees.
A small shell midden, a pile of shells left behind by the Native Americans who used to inhabit the island, can also be seen.
Rudy and Jim talk about Bluet flowers, and come across a Yucca Skipper moth, which lays eggs on yucca plants found throughout the island.
