Sea Change, Part 7 - Cultural Ripples - Episode 7

Kaltura

Global warming also threatens the low country’s cultures, and the people living in the region. Making sweet-grass baskets, and growing rice have African origins, being passed down and taught through many generations. Erosion and increasing temperatures brought on by global warming are causing a decline in sweet-grass.  There is a close relationship between the people living in the low country, and their land. The people living there would suffer a devastating loss if their land disappears.
