Generations of Heroes was a project that offered South Carolina educators and students a chance to document the living memories of heroes and civilians who have served the United States from World War II to today’s soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Standards
- 5-6 The student will demonstrate an understanding of the political, social, economic, and environmental challenges faced by the United States during the period from the collapse of the Soviet Union to the present.
- 7-6 The student will demonstrate an understanding of the significant political, economic, geographic, scientific, technological, and cultural changes as well as the advancements that have taken place throughout the world from the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 to the present day.
