Nancy Rhyne resides in the capital city of South Carolina, after spending most of her adult life in the Lowcountry of our state. She began writing as a way to overcome a horrible experience she had in 1967. Recuperation was lengthy and she could not return to her work right away. So she enrolled in a creative writing course and discovered a passion for writing that turned her into an award-winning author! She has authored Edisto Island, Tales of the SC Low Country, Low Country Voices, Slave Ghost Stories, Coastal Ghosts, Plantation Tales, and The Crab Boys, as well as a number of suspenseful books. Specializing in preserving the history and folklore of our region, her dedication to research is evident in all the books she has written.
