Sculptor

Country roads, rural landscapes and historic structures of the Southeast inspired sculptor Brian Rust, a native of Washington state, to adopt Augusta, Georgia as his new home. Rust frequently works in South Carolina, drawing from a palette of native geologic materials that includes red clay, white kaolin, local granite and quartz rock. Brian likes to say that his outdoor installations "will look better in a year," as works are often ephemeral and prone to erosion.
