The World Food Program (WFP) is a part of the United Nations that works to feed hungry people. Some of their programs bring food to refugees and victims of disasters such as droughts, floods and earthquakes. After refugees and disaster victims have been fed, the WFP helps them restore their farms, homes and businesses. The WFP believes that when people are no longer hungry, they have greater access to education, trade, and development.
