The words "sustainable consumption" are used to describe a major goal of the U.N.. It's a couple of big words so lets break it down:
The word sustainable means to sustain, or keep going.
The word consumption means to consume, or use, things.
So put the two words together - sustainable consumption - and you get a way to use things without using them up. Not a bad idea! If we clear all of the forests, pollute the water, and let animals become extinct, the future of our earth and its people is uncertain.
