Trillium cuneatum
• Rich, dark flower with three parts
• Species name means "wedge-shaped" referring to the tapered shape of the petal
• Tri-colored petals - either maroon or yellow
• Erect, smooth stem
• Grows on forest floor in southern Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama
