Seira has made many new friends and has adjusted well to her new home in South Carolina, but she misses the people and culture of Mexico. She introduces her new friends to her Hispanic heritage by performing folk dances she learned in Mexico.
Folk dances are traditional dances that can be hundreds of years old. These dances are often performed at Mexican fiestas and holidays. "The traditions that we had there, they affect the way I am now," she believes.
