Mr. Sam Watson grew up near Orangeburg in the 1940's and '50's, when his aunt and her husband, Marion B. and Dorothy Utsey, ran the company store for the Holly Hill Lumber Company in Kingville. Sam went on to a career teaching English at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. Now he is retired to the coastal South Carolina village of McClellanville.
