Col. James Post, Wing Commander, states that, "What I'd like to be remember for, I think, is helping facilitate the training, the most realistic training possible, and preparing our airmen to ensure that they are second to none, prepared and ready to go into combat operations."

Missile loading crews are tested monthly to see if they can quickly and safely arm the fighter jets. Staff Sergeant Jeffery Merrick describes the preparations and stresses the importance of safety with the live munitions. . 

Standards

• This indicator was designed to promote inquiry into the devastation of the Great Depression and the impact of the New Deal on a largely agricultural South Carolina. This indicator was also designed to foster inquiry into the economic diversification between World War II and the present, to include tourism, global trade and industry, and the maintenance of military bases.
