Stephen Wise, a student at Chapin Middle School, has a passion for geography that started out at a very early age. His early learning paid off. Wise made the cut for the second year in a row to the state level National Geographic Bee.
Each year thousands of schools in the United States participate in the National Geographic Bee using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. Finalists from across South Carolina gather in Columbia to compete for the chance to move to the national stage.
