In this episode of Afro Latino Travels, host Kim Haas visits the port city Limon, Costa Rica. Africans and their descendants have been in Costa Rica since the arrival of the first Spanish Conquistadors. Immigrants throughout the Caribbean, including the descendants of enslaved people came to Costa Rica, primarily through Limon.
Kim’s first stop is to meet Sergio Bolanos Soto- a man who is passionate about sharing and preserving Costa Rica’s history.
