Girls Rock Columbia is a non-profit organization created in 2013. Every summer, this organization hosts a one- week long day camp where girls between the ages of 8 to 17 learn how to play an instrument, form a band, and attend a series of workshops where they learn about body positivity and leadership, among others. At the end of the week, the girls perform an original song with their bands in front of a live audience.
The mission of Girls Rock Columbia is not only to encourage girls to play an instrument and to develop their musical talents, but also to empower them to believe in themselves and find their creativity and leadership within them.
This camp is an excellent way to learn, have fun and rock out during summer!
