02. Black Needle Rush

At the transition between the salt shrub thicket and the salt marsh, a band of black needle rush grows. It needs fresh groundwater to grow. Depending on the amount of freshwater available, the black needle rush band can be narrow or wide. The sea oxeye daisy and marsh elder often grow nearby.
