Members of Sabor have Hispanic roots in Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. From these places, they bring us the sounds of salsa, rumba, merengue, cha cha cha, guaguanco, and mambo...Chances are you have listened to music influenced by a Latin culture. Pop music star Marc Anthony has a background in "salsa," a kind of music from Puerto Rico. Jennifer Lopez often mixes a form of Cuban music called "mambo" with catchy beats to make "Latin soul." Recently Periscope visited a concert by a "Latin jazz" group called Sabor. "Sabor" is the spanish word for "flavor." From Sabor, we learned how jazz music mixed with Hispanic culture!
