South Carolina's Upcountry is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and includes the following counties: Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens and Spartanburg. There are waterfalls, lakes and rivers, forests, valleys, and scenic highways. Tourists can whitewater raft on the Chattooga River, hike and horseback ride along mountain trails, camp, fishing, and play golf.
