Lesson Overview
In this lesson, students will identify and describe the characteristics of the 3 states of matter and describe the 6 phase changes of matter using repetitious melodic chants (Raps), concept mapping, Graphic Organizers and a lab demonstration.

What are the 3 states of Matter?
Describe the characteristics of the 3 states of matter in terms of shape and volume.
Identify and define the 6 phase changes of matter as it relates to temperature and energy.
