Amelia Earhart, the iconic aviation pioneer, was born on July 24th, 1897. She made history as the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Her passion for aviation ignited after taking her first airplane ride and receiving flying lessons. In 1928, she was chosen to fly across the Atlantic, solidifying her status as a trailblazer. Earhart continued to break records with non-stop flights, inspiring women to pursue unconventional careers. Tragically, during her final attempt to fly around the world, she disappeared and was declared lost at sea while searching for Howland Island as her pit stop.
