Melvin Teal

Mr. Melvin Teal began singing around the age of twelve. His father, Victor Teal, sang in a quartet while Melvin and his brothers learned and absorbed the elements of quartet harmony by listening to their father and other relatives. He and his family are from Marlboro County, South Carolina where he has taught gospel music and harmony to many others over the years. He sings at various local church events, private parties, and family reunions. His group, the Evening Aires, perform an anniversary concert every year.
