Dianne Bowman
Pyrography, Quilting, Broom making
Ms. Dianne Bowman, born and raised in South Carolina, has many talents including pyrography, quilting, making brooms, canning food, and butchering animals. Pyrography is the art of burning material, usually wood, with a special tool which leaves burn marks of various sizes and textures. The burn marks can be used to make a pattern, design, or even elaborate artwork. She learned these arts by watching her mother and grandmother, starting when she was just seven years old. She plans on passing these family traditions on to her own children.
