Ms. Dhanya Ramankutty is originally from Trivandrum, Kerala, India and has lived in South Carolina since 2002. When she was five years old, she began learning Indian folk dance and music from teachers in India. She has been teaching these traditional arts to her son and his friends on special occasions for several years. She appears regularly at cultural festivals to promote and demonstrate Indian folk dancing and music.
