Soap and Candle Making

Mrs. Karen Lee Davis moved from Decatur, Alabama to South Carolina in the late 1990's. She is a magazine editor and self-taught soap and candle maker. She has been making candles and soaps for over five years now and learned through reading articles and watching programs on the internet. She uses commercial products to make her soap and candles including paraffin wax and natural fragrances. Mrs. Davis has taught these arts at women's classes at National Turkey Federation events. She has demonstrated her techniques and sold her products at the Ridge Spring Harvest Festival and the Aiken Christmas Craft Show. Her talent has led her to associations with the National Turkey Federation and the Discovery Center.
