Caroline Hoadley
Folk Dance
Ms. Caroline Hoadley is an accomplished folk dancer in a variety of dance traditions including German and Austrian folk dancing, Appalachian clogging, Irish folk dancing, and the Carolina Shag. She has been dancing for over 45 years and learned socially with friends, family, and community interaction. As an artist who is proud of their heritage and serves the community, she has been teaching and preserving this art for the past 35 years at pre-schools, public schools, colleges, and by teaching private lessons in South Carolina and other states. She has performed at the Oconee Heritage festival, various Oktoberfests, and international festivals. Her artistic and educational associations are with the Beaufort County School District, the Columbia International Festival, and the Oconee Heritage Center.
