Chasity Roper

Mrs. Chasity Roper is a professional cosmetologist and accomplished singer from Anderson, South Carolina. She especially enjoys singing gospel and country music and performing with other musicians. At just three years old, she began to learn to sing from her grandfather and mother at home, though she developed her skills in church by singing gospel music and opry-style songs. Her own daughter is now taking up the tradition and has been taught by Mrs. Roper since she was an infant and continues to be taught be her. At least once a month Mrs. Roper sings at the Chiguola Baptist Church in Anderson County during the church service. She is associated with the Belton Center for the Arts as well as the Belton Museum Association.
