During October, we celebrate the often misunderstood and feared bat. But you shouldn't be afraid of bats.

April 17 is International Bat Appreciation Day.

International Bat Appreciation Day is a designated day to start observing bats in their natural habitats.  Springtime marks the end of the long hibernation season for bats, and this holiday marks the perfect time to start observing the animal in their natural habitats.
