Tavia Gaddy, Project Manager at Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC), believes in the power of a positive attitude. When dealing with clients, "there’s no room for attitude or even to get upset. Move with it. If things don’t go your way there’s always tomorrow and that’s why there are erasers on the back of pencils. Just keep it moving."
Gaddy began her career as a journalist, working in radio, then moving into state government where she worked for the South Carolina office of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, and then to recruitment for state jobs. She then moved to Greenville, working for the GADC. She credits her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as role models, but her husband and colleagues give her inspiration from day to day.
In her time at the GADC, Gaddy has been involved in the creation of over 4,584 jobs and over $100 million of new capital investment in Greenville.
